A quick explanation of the title: Fox Comics was a wonderful small press comic published from Melbourne, Australia throughout the 1980s. I had drawn quite a few things for them, including a 5-part serial called Sex. As the 1980s came to an end, however, Phil Bentley and Dave Vodicka finally decided to call it a day, and invited their regular contributors to send them one last story for a special, final, issue – all on the theme of our relationship with comics.

So initially, I drew this story for Fox; but long before I finished it, they abandoned their plans for that final issue, and instead my story was dedicated to them as a kind of eulogy.
