Hi – sorry if this is a little off topic, but BBC 4 have been repeating their series on the history of cartography beginning with ‘Maps: power, plunder and possession’ which always reminds me of the cartographic sections in Hicksville (especially the mysterious ‘Captin Cook’ comic pages). and a BBC iPlayer link. however I suspect the latter is unavailable outside the UK, which is a shame. Whilst (lawyers take note) I would never recommend any illegal action, you could always take a look at You Tube and P2P networks for unauthorised exerpts…
I didn’t know about that series, but now that I do… I’ll definitely find some entirely legal and legitimate way of seeing it. 😉 Thanks for the tip!!
