    Very nice. 🙂

And I got the book a few days ago.

I feel like such a nerd to mention that Miki must be flying at over 500 MPH…

Of course, being a genius she may have constructed an anti-stasis field when flying.
    Love the sideways shot.

But he didn’t have goggles. Obviously, that makes the whole difference. 😀

I already did the geeky questioning of the physics of it all a few pages ago, so I decided that enough is enough, or else I’d turn into Sheldon Cooper here. But then, maybe that ship has long since sailed. Clearly, she’s carried cartoon physics with her out into the “real world.” You can’t get much further than that without admitting that it isn’t actually the real world at all.

I wish that I had more to say about the themes of the story, but the questions of the morality of our fantasies goes way beyond anything I’d manage to delve into. All I can say that it was a good story, and I see that I now have to say goodbye to all the characters. We’ve said goodbye to Alice, and this is goodbye to Miki.

No question about it. I’ve always had a weakness for spunky girls with an attitude and an independent spirit. It goes all the way back to being engrossed by Pippi Longstocking on TV, played by the inimitable Inger Nilsson, when I was five years old.
